Do you have any idea how many kinds of smiles there are?
The romantic I just married you ones,
The laughter filled best friend ones,
The teary eye'd giving my daughter away ones,
The joyous we've gained a son ones,
The surreal is this really happening ones
The racy cant wait to get you alone ones
The silly whats in this drink ones
The proud I made it to my great grand daughters wedding ones
The melancholic it goes by so fast ones
We're here for it. These are the smiles you'll forget in time. The smiles we'll make sure you remember. Every smile. Every time.
Some moments are small, like the nervous laugh you let out when you take that first look in the mirror, and you see the you thats about to promise forever.
Some moments are big, like the laughter of all your family and friends when you accidentally shout I do way before you were supposed to.
Some moments are awkward, like when we ask you and your bridesmaids to look at each other and fake laugh.
(Disclaimer: this always turns into genuine laughter)
The fantastic thing about documentary style photography besides the fact that we don't make you pose like dolls in unnatural positions for 1.5 hours that you could be laughing instead, is that we catch these laughs. We know they're coming. We wait for them. We practically pounce on them. If there was a Pokemon Go for laughs we'd be winning.
We're here for it. Every laugh. Every time.
This may come as a surprise but... we go to a lot of weddings.
We've grown accustomed to reading a room. It's like our super power. We'll back off when the tears are intimate, we'll capture them the way intimate tears should be captured. Through the crack of a door, around a corner, through a rack of hanging bridesmaids dresses, from the bushes outside the pretty paned window of your bridal suite. (not kidding, not ashamed)
We'll push in when we know it's a moment you HAVE to have. The tears streaming down his face when he see's you walking down the aisle, the ones you try and save your mascara from as you choke through your vows, the ones that welled up but didn't quite fall during your first dance.
We know when you need us to ninja our way through something to give you space and be present in your moment and when you're too absorbed in your moment to notice us.
We're here for it. Every tear. Every time.
They say the devil's in the details. Honestly, we don't even know what that means and we're assuming he's not invited to this soiree.
But you know who IS in the details? We are!
It's not just the flowers, and the cake, and the jewelry, and the shoes....
It's also the creased paper you've folded and unfolded 100 times that you wrote your vows on,
It's the dime hanging from a charm bracelet with a story behind it that no one understands but you,
It's the sparkle in your best friends eyes as she helps put your veil on,
It's the bottle of whiskey your best man brought back from the distillery across the country you've been going to for a decade,
It's the China plates you spent a year thrifting with your mother in law.
It's the locket your grandmother passed down to you that morning
We're here for it. Every Detail. Every time.
Hair, Makeup, First look, First Kiss, Family Formals, First dance, Speech's, Cake, Bouquet, Garter, Dancing, Grand Exit...... right?
Grandma and Grandpa holding hands.
You're quiet conversation at the sweetheart table during dinner.
Your best friends serenade.
The surprise dance you choreographed with your dad to acdc.
The whole bridal party getting iced.
Bowed head's during grandpa's blessing.
Your flower girls dancing on the beach at sunset.
The groomsmen playing poker to pass the time.
We're here for it. Every Moment. Every time.
The best faces are the ones we didn't tell you to make.
Theres no amount of posing (and we'll do a little) that can replace real, authentic emotion. This is why we focus so heavily on candid's. A good candid is no small feat. In the beginning we got great candids by pure luck. Right moment, right time. It was exciting... invigorating to capture such raw emotion.
Now we capture them intentionally. We read the room. We follow moods. We watch expressions evolve from behind the lens. We look for our compositions before your guests even arrive. We mentally note them and save them for later. Years of experience have honed our skills.
We're the freaking Yoda of candid's.
We're here for it. Every Look. Every time.
We know color theory, we know composition.....
but we also know that over the years you'll forget the tiny details, you'll lose loved ones, and the day will start to blur.
This is your world, and these are the people in it. These are the people who made you, you.
We believe the power of knowing where you came from is the greatest gift you can leave future generations
You'll give these to your kids and they'll give them to your grandchildren.
Long after we're gone this is how our families will know where they came from and they way we loved each other.
If you invited them, you love them. If you love them, we're capturing them.
We're here for it. Every Loved one. Every time.
Please don't tell anyone how many times you hear us say "atmosphere" during the planning process. We can't help it, we're suckers for an atmosphere.
Every wedding has its own atmosphere. It's own vibe. It's like a layer cake....
It's you two.
It's your style, your venue, your decor.
It's your family and friends.
It's the way the sun rose that morning, and the way it set that night.
It's the spring flowers, the dusting of snow, the golden summer light, the fiery fall leaves.
It's the breeze through your hair, the light hitting your skin, the sound of waves, or the soft glow of mountain stars.
It's the music you danced to, the smell of dinner, the flickering candles, the lights of the band.
Don't think you can capture all that in a picture? We must not have met yet. Hi, we're Mco.
We're here for it. Every feeling. Every time.
lets do the damn thing
Certain things never go out of style and they matter at EVERY wedding, every time, FOREVER. Let us break it down
